Burton Mill Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team of dedicated employees in our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Springfield, OR. Come and grow with us!

How You Will Make a Positive Impact:

  • Perform analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast and proposes improvement actions. Performs benchmarking of key performance indicators with external and internal peers
  • Work with production management team to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance and identify trends. Prepare financial modelling for various “what if” scenarios and the overall impact to the factory. Areas of focus may include product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis/inventory analysis, incl. cycle count results
  • Support preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Validate accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliations and review of exceptions
  • Ensure processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit requirements. Maintain proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews
  • Some plant specific and manufacturing/cost accounting (monthly close, etc.) duties will apply
The Value You Bring:
  • At least two years of experience as an accountant, auditor, or computer programmer analyst in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Valid CPA or CMA certificate preferred but not required
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills (fractions, percentiles, ratios, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding of project management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling (Power BI is preferred)
  • Dynamics 365/AX ERP system experience preferred.
